Janmashtami celebrated with Religious Fervor and Gaiety in the Valley

Srinagar, Aug 26 (NVI) : Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, was celebrated in Kashmir today with zeal and religious gaiety.

Devotees held special prayers and bhajans on the occasion at various places.

Beautifully decorated processions were also taken out in Srinagar, including in old City areas, as part of the celebrations.

The devotees recited devotional songs and carried colorful banners, adding to the festive mood.

The participation in the rally, with everybody attired in traditional attire, added to the festivity of the occasion by having fun together in complete unity.

Many faithful observed fast, while others participated in the rituals and ceremonies associated with the festival.

In Kashmir, this time, these celebrations were marked by a feel of communal harmony as people from different faiths joined in.    (News Vibes of India)
