Srinagar, Aug 26 (NVI): Senior Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Salman Khurshid and incharge J&K Bharatsinh Solanki meet National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and his son and party vice-president Omar Abdullah at their Gupkar residence today to resolve the differences.
The visit comes in the wake of speculations of a rift within the Congress-NC coalition ahead of the polls.
As per the News Vibes of India—(NVI), the National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani today shrugged off the reports about any bickerings within the coalition despite rumors.
Wani earlier told the reporters that the alliance is intact and both the parties are unanimous in their decision of fighting the forthcoming elections on a joint platform.
He said continuous meetings between the coalition leaders are being held to ensure the partnership remains intact.
Notably, the coalition between Congress and NC has always been an important political alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, and the meeting today at Abdullah’s residence was considered to be a critical step taken in keeping up the partnership.—(NVI)
