Jammu, Nov 26(NVI):A 28-year-old woman, identified as Fatima Bi, crossed the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district and exfiltrated into Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), Officials said today.
According to officials, Fatima Bi, a resident of a forward village located in the Kirni sector of Poonch, crossed the border into PoK on Sunday evening under “unclear circumstances.”
The incident has prompted local authorities to take swift action with the police registering a case and initiating an investigation into the matter.
The case is being investigated, including whether she crossed the border voluntarily or under coercion, ” a police official told NVI.
Unauthorized crossings of the LoC, whether by civilians or terrorists, are considered serious security concern.
