Quetta (Balochistan), Mar 18 (NVI) Besides the huge suicide attack on the Pakistani military convoy, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said it carried out 10 operations against the occupying forces in eight districts of Balochistan over the last few days and claimed to have killed at least 5 soldiers and wounded 11.
The BLA freedom fighters targeted the occupying Pakistani army in Quetta, Turbat, Harnai, Mastung, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Naseerabad and Jaffarabad districts, said a statement issued by the outfit.
These attacks are besides the one carried out on a convoy of Pakistani military in Noshki district of Balochistan on March 16, in which 90 soldiers were killed, according to BLA.
The convoy, comprising 8 buses and 2 escort jeeps, was targetted on the highway between Quetta and Taftan in Noshki by a vehicle laden with explosives and driven by a suicide.
On the night of March 15, BLA freedom fighters targeted a vehicle in a three-vehicle ATF convoy on Karani Road in Quetta using a remote-controlled IED, eliminating one soldier and injuring 6, said the statement issued by BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.
In another operation in Quetta on March 14, fighters attacked Kechi Beg police station with a grenade, he said. There were no casualties but a vehicle parked inside was destroyedin the blast.
On the morning of March 15, BLA freedom fighters targeted a vehicle that was part of the occupying Pakistani army convoy on the CPEC route near D Baloch in Turbat with a remote-controlled IED attack.
As a result of the blast, 3 enemy army personnel were eliminated and at least three others were wounded while the vehicle was also destroyed in the attack, the spokesman said.
On March 14, in the Kochiali area of Harnai, BLA fighters targeted three foot personnel of the bomb disposal squad of the occupying Pakistani army with a remote-controlled IED.
The attack was carried out while they were busy clearing the railway track, the spokesman said, adding one personnel was neutralized on the spot and two others were wounded in the blast.
On the night of March 16, BLA freedom fighters attacked a hideout of the so-called death squad formed by the occupying Pakistani army in the Jainh Paroom area of Panjgur in which two death squad agents were seriously injured.
On March 15, freedom fighters attacked a police post in Jaffarabad, targeting force personnel in which a personnel was wounded.
On Friday, March 14, BLA freedom fighters carried out an attack on customs check post on the CPEC route N-85 in Panjgur, arrested the present personnel and seized their weapons. Later, the personnel were released after warning.
On Wednesday, March 12, BLA fighters attacked a Levies post in the Mehalbi area of Kalat and seized the personnel’s weapons. Later, the Levies personnel were released however, during this a personnel was injured in an attempt to attack the freedom fighters.
On March 11, fighters attacked and captured a Levies Force check post in Naal, Gerok area of Khuzdar. During this, the weapons and motorcycles of the forces personnel were taken into custody while the personnel were later released.
On March 11, in Mastung city, BLA freedom fighters attacked a police post, arrested five personnel and seized their weapons including three Kalashnikovs, two pistols and other military equipment. Later, fighters released the police personnel after giving warning. (NVI)
