Quetta, April 14 (NVI): In an embarrassing message to the occupying Pakistani State, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) freedom fighters captured a paramilitary force station in Kharan in Balochistan, briefly held captive all the 10 personnel present there and confiscated all the weapons.

The operation was carried out during the intervening night of April 12 and 13, with the fighters surrounding the station in Maskan Kalat area of Kharan at around 1 AM (Pakistan Time), according to BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.

“During this operation, 10 personnel present in the Levies station were arrested and all the weapons and military equipment were seized,” he said.

The seized weapons included 13 Kalashnikovs and other military equipment, he said.

Later, freedom fighters released these personnel as they were not involved in any national crime, the spokesman said.

“After the operation, BLA freedom fighters patrolled the area to engage with possible retaliation from the state forces and demonstrate presence,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

The Levies force mainly comprises local Baloch people and the Baloch fighters usually do not harm them unless found to be involved in any kind of atrocity against the Baloch people.

The spokesman indicated that the operation was carried out mainly to send out a message to the Pakistani regime, whose aim is to “pit the personnel of the local Levies and police forces against Baloch nation and make them agents of state oppression”.

“A few days ago, a meeting chaired by DIG of Rakhshan Division said that if any Baloch youth is found to be associated with Baloch militant organizations, police and Levies Force should be ordered to shoot such individuals on the spot. This conspiracy is an attempt to create tension between the local forces and the Baloch people,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

“Since most of the personnel in Levies and police forces are local Baloch, they do not face direct confrontation from our organization. However, if these personnel are found to be involved in state aggression and violence and involved in atrocities against the Baloch people, they will also be directly targeted,” the spokesman said.

“All such elements who participate in the oppression of the State even if they are Baloch, will not be spared because they will be considered collaborators in the state’s aggression against their land and nation,” he warned. (NVI)
