Srinagar, Mar 5 (NVI): The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir till March 6, while light rain and snowfall over higher reaches is expected at isolated to scattered places during the following days.
According to the MeT office Srinagar, the weather is likely to remain generally dry on March 5 and 6 across the Union Territory.
However, from March 7 to 9, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with chances of light rain and snowfall over higher reaches at isolated to scattered places.
The MeT department said that from March 10 to 11, the weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy with light rain and snowfall over higher reaches at scattered places.
From March 12 to 15, the weather is expected to remain generally dry, while from March 16 to 17, generally cloudy conditions with light rain and snowfall over higher reaches at isolated places are likely.
Meanwhile, the MeT department has advised farmers to continue their farm operations.
It also said that a further rise in day temperature by around 2-3°C at most places is likely to continue during the next three days, after which temperatures may fall by 3-5°C at many places across Jammu and Kashmir. —(NVI)
