Srinagar, Mar 10 (NVI): Asia’s largest tulip garden in Srinagar will be thrown open to visitors from March 16, 2026, the Floriculture Department–Kashmir said on Tuesday.
According to officials, the world-famous Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, located at the foothills of the Zabarwan range overlooking Dal Lake, has been prepared for the upcoming spring season and final arrangements are underway for the opening.
The garden, considered the largest tulip garden in Asia, attracts thousands of tourists from across the country and abroad every year during the blooming season. Spread across terraced slopes, it features more than a million tulip bulbs of multiple varieties along with other spring flowers, creating a vibrant floral landscape.
Officials said the opening of the garden marks the beginning of the tourism season in Kashmir, with visitors expected to throng the site to witness the colourful tulip bloom.(NVI)
