Srinagar, Mar 29 (NVI): A tourist from West Bengal died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Kushal Behra (67), son of Bimal Chand Behra, a resident of School Bazar Hatabari in Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal.
Officials said Behra, who was staying at a hotel in Khanyar area, developed sudden health complications and was immediately shifted to JLNM Hospital for treatment. However, he was declared dead at the hospital, with doctors attributing the cause to cardiac arrest.
After completion of medical formalities, the body was shifted to PCR Kashmir for further necessary procedures, they added.—(NVI)
