Srinagar, Apr 2 (NVI): The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was on Thursday informed that the Lieutenant Governor has given assent to three Bills passed by the House.
The Secretary, Legislative Assembly, Manoj Kumar Pandit, informed the members that the Lieutenant Governor approved the legislations on March 31, 2026.
The Bills include the Jammu and Kashmir Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026 (L.A. Bill No. 1 of 2026), the Jammu and Kashmir Eliminating Discrimination Against Persons Affected by Leprosy Bill, 2026 (L.A. Bill No. 2 of 2026) and the Jammu and Kashmir State Civil Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (L.A. Bill No. 03 of 2026).
The Secretary read out the official communication in the House, confirming that all three Bills have received the Lieutenant Governor’s assent.(NVI)
