Rajouri, May 23 (NVI): Security forces established contact with terrorists during an intelligence-based joint operation in the Gambhir Muglan area of Rajouri district on Saturday, officials said.
According to the Army’s White Knight Corps, the operation, codenamed “Op Sheruwali,” was launched jointly by the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF.
Officials said contact with the terrorists was established around 11:30 am, following which troops responded with calibrated action, triggering an exchange of fire.
A tight cordon has been laid around the area, while the operation was continuing when reports last came in, officials added.(NVI)
