Srinagar, June 11 (NVI): Rain and thunderstorm activity is likely to affect several parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the next three to four days, with weather conditions expected to remain unstable till June 14, according to weather observers.
The forecast indicates that intermittent spells of rain may be accompanied by gusty winds, lightning, hailstorms and intense showers at some places across the Union Territory.
Officials said the weather activity is not expected to be continuous and is more likely to occur during the afternoon, evening and night hours.
In view of the possibility of adverse weather, farmers have been advised to suspend field activities till June 14 and remain vigilant, as weather conditions could deteriorate at short notice.
Authorities have also urged residents to exercise caution during thunderstorms and avoid venturing into vulnerable areas during periods of intense weather activity.(NVI)
