New Delhi, June 28: Just 9 days after signing a peace agreement with Iran, US President Donald Trump today again threatened to end the existence of the Persian nation.
His latest threat came along with the second round of airstrikes by the US military on Iran over the last two nights.
“The United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN,” Trump wrote on his social media handle.
“It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist,” he added.
Prior to his statement, the US military carried out air strikes at multiple locations in Iran.
The US military said it targeted the sites of missile and drone launches of Iran.
Soon after, Iran retaliated by firing missiles and drones at US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.
The US and Iran signed a peace deal on June 19 after which the top leaders of the two countries met in Switzerland to discuss the way forward. (NVI)
