Srinagar, July 12 (NVI): A 56-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim was found dead inside a bus at the Yatra Transit Camp in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.
Officials said that the deceased has been identified as Joga Singh, son of Karam Singh, a resident of Ludhiana, Punjab.
They said the pilgrim was found lying dead inside the Yatra bus at the transit camp, following which a police team from Police Station Pantha Chowk rushed to the spot and initiated legal formalities.
The officials added that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has also been informed to assist in the investigation.
The cause of death was not immediately known, and further investigation is underway.—(NVI)
