Anantnag, July 22 (NVI): Director General of Police (DGP) J&K, Nalin Prabhat, along with Special DGP, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Kashmir, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag and senior officers of the security forces on Wednesday paid rich tributes to martyred Head Constable Ashiq Hussain at the District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag.
The officers laid floral wreaths and observed a Guard of Honour in memory of the slain policeman, who laid down his life in a terrorist attack at Lal Chowk, Anantnag.
Senior officers hailed the martyr’s courage and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, reaffirming the resolve of the police and security forces to continue the fight against terrorism.—(NVI)
