Peshawar, Sept 22 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) carried out 36 attacks, including missile assaults and drone strikes, on Pakistani forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces of Pakistan in three days, causing extensive human and material loss to the enemy.
According to the TTP, there was confirmation about the killing of 20 personnel of Pakistani forces and injuries to over a dozen others in these attacks.
Besides, there is a strong possibility of many more casualties among the Pakistani forces in various attacks.
The TTP carried out 14 operations on September 20 and 21 in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.
These included a BM missile attack on Shamsi Airbase in Washuk in Makran district, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties and material losses, he said.
In Mohmand district, TTP’s special unit carried out an attack in Khwazai Baizai, targeting the joint post of paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) and police.
At least 5 personnel were killed and wounded in the attack, he said.
In Kohat district, a post manned jointly by Pakistan army and FC was attacked in Darra Adam Khel, which resulted in the killing of two soldiers and injuries to several others.
A quadcopter drone and the camera installed at the post were also destroyed, he said.
Two more soldiers were killed and several others wounded in an attack on Pakistan army in Sararogha in South Waziristan district, the TTP spokesman said.
TTP also captured an officer of Pakistan’s Military Intelligence during “patrolling and snap-checking” in the main market of Makeen in South Waziristan, he said.
A laser gun attack was carried out by TTP on a military post in Shaktoi in South Waziristan, killing a soldier was firing from a machine gun.
In North Waziristan, a soldier was killed and another wounded in a sniper attack in Ghariom.
TTP also fired two missiles in Boya area of North Waziristan at the military Copper Mines Company located in Muhammad Khel, the spokesman said.
The missiles struck the target directly and therefore, casualties and material losses to the enemy is very much possible.
In Peshawar, TTP carried out a drone attack on a military post, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties among the soldiers.
Another drone attack was carried out on a police station in Peshawar in Badaber area, in which 2 personnel were wounded and a police van was damaged.
In Khurram district, multiple drone attacks were carried out on the Pakistan Army in Sadda, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties among the soldiers.
Two soldiers were killed and 2 wounded in a separate surprise attack on the Pakistan army in Tandori in Sadda area of Khurram district.
Separately, in Sadda, multiple drone attacks were carried out on a military convoy that had come to Mazrina with the intention of conducting a raid, causing severe casualties and material losses to the enemy, the spokesman said.
TTP fighters also ambushed a military convoy in Sadda that had come to Zangi with the intention of conducting a raid, and casualties and material losses to the enemy have been reported.
TTP also shot down a drone of the Pakistan Army in Khurram.
In Bannu district, TTP carried out three separate attacks, including a drone strike, a Grenade Launcher attack and a guerrilla operation, in which there is a strong possibility of casualties, the spokesman said.
In Punjab Province, TTP carried out a Grenade Launcher attack on a military facility in Taunsa Sharif, killing and injuring 6 personnel, the spokesman said. (NVI)
