Poonch, Sep 14 (NVI) : Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Monday reviewed the security situation and ongoing anti-terror operations in Poonch district, officials said.
Prabhat, accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, held a detailed review of the operations underway in the district, they said.
The police leadership was briefed on the latest developments, operational preparedness and coordination among various security agencies deployed on the ground, officials said.
The visit comes amid heightened security concerns in the Pir Panjal region following recent attempts at infiltration and reports of movement of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists, they said.—(NVI)
