Srinagar, Sep 24 (NVI) : Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness generally dry weather over the next two days, followed by brief spells of rain, thunder and gusty winds in some districts from September 27, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
According to the MeT, September 25 and 26 are expected to remain generally dry, while September 27 and 28 may witness generally cloudy conditions with brief spells of light rain, thunder and gusty winds at a few places. Light snowfall is likely over higher reaches.
Brief spells of rain are likely at a few places on September 29 and 30, while the weather is expected to remain generally dry on October 1 and 2, it said.
The department has forecast generally cloudy weather with light rain, thunder and gusty winds at a few places from October 3 to 5, with light snowfall possible over higher reaches.
The MeT advised farmers to utilise the dry days for harvesting apples, paddy and other agricultural activities.
Farmers have also been advised to plan spraying and harvesting operations accordingly and remain cautious during periods of gusty winds and thunder activity.—(NVI)
