Jammu, Oct 7 (NVI) Jammu Deputy Inspector General of Police Shridhar Patil on Wednesday reviewed the progress of investigation in UAPA, old terror-related, narco-terror and terror financing cases in the district, officials said.
Patil, who chaired a crime review meeting at the Zonal Police Headquarters here, took stock of the investigation into cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and reopened old terror-related cases, besides those linked to narco-terror and terror financing, they said.
The DIG directed officers to ensure professional, thorough and time-bound investigation of the cases and stressed the need for better coordination among investigating agencies, officials said.
He also directed the officers to take effective measures to identify and dismantle networks supporting terrorism, they said.—(NVI)
