Security Agencies Test Counter-Terror Preparedness at Aharbal in J&K’s Kulgam

Kulgam, Oct 11 (NVI): Police on Sunday conducted a counter-terrorism mock drill at the famous Aharbal tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir to assess operational readiness and strengthen coordination among security agencies.

The exercise was conducted under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kulgam, and led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations), Manzgam.

Personnel from the Manzgam police station, Special Operations Group (SOG) Manzgam, Markhor Manzgam and the CRPF’s 18th Battalion participated in the drill, officials said.

The exercise was aimed at evaluating the preparedness of security personnel to respond swiftly and effectively to any potential security threat at the tourist destination.

It also focused on improving communication and coordination among the participating agencies to ensure a prompt and effective response in the event of an emergency, they said.

Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of tourists and the general public, particularly at important tourist destinations across the district.—(NVI)
