Kabul, Mar 3: Intensifying attacks and breaching the disputed border with Pakistan, Afghan forces have claimed to have captured dozens of Pakistani military posts while killing and capturing hundreds of enemy soldiers since Monday.

The Ministry of National Defense of Afghanistan said the Afghan forces captured 14 posts of the Pakistani military beyond the disputed Durand Line border in the areas of Khost, Zabul and Kandahar provinces last night.

It said the Afghan forces started retaliatory attacks in these areas around midnight in retaliation to the fresh air strikes by Pakistani military which targeted refugee camps and killed several innocent people.

In a separate statement earlier, Sediqullah Nusrat, deputy spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, said Afghan forces captured 8 security posts belonging to Pakistan’s military regime.

According to him, five of the posts were seized in Kandahar, two in Khost, and one in Zabul.

Along with the statements, videos surfaced on the social media, showing several Pakistani military posts, including big ones, under control of Afghan forces.

Videos have also emerged from Pro-Afghan social media handles, showing many Pakistani soldiers killed or injured and in the custody of Afghan forces.

According to one such claims, over 800 Pakistani soldiers have been killed, 140 injured and 439 captured alive by the Afghan forces.

At least 49 Pakistani military posts have been destroyed by the Afghan forces, according to these unverified claims.

The Afghan defence forces have also shot down 5 Pakistani military drones and 19 small spy drones.

The fighting is escalating as the Taliban regime of Afghanistan is now determined to “teach a lesson to the Pakistani military regime” for conducting air strikes in Afghanistan, violating the country’s sovereignty and killing innocent people, including children and women.

The Afghan Taliban are more incensed since the Pakistani military targeted a mosque and a madrassa in a recent airstrike in Afghanistan, which resulted in copies of holy Quran being reduced to ashes.

More angering was the fact that Pakistan launched the military aggression during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. (NVI)
