Peshawar: A day after its daring attack on high-security Karachi Police Headquarters, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today declared that the “slave” Pakistan Army and Police will be targeted at every important place until the way for implementation of the Islamic system in the country is paved.

In a statement, the outfit warned the Pakistani security agencies that the intensity of future attacks would be more severe if they did not stop martyring innocent prisoners in fake encounters.

Last evening, at around 7 pm, the outfit’s 3 suicide attackers stormed the Police Headquarters in Karachi where scores of personnel of police and paramilitary Rangers were present.

Intense exchange of fire and bomb explosions ensued for about 3 hours before all the three attackers were killed.

The TTP statement, issued by its spokesman Muhammad Khurasani, said the 3 suicide attackers killed and injured more than 2 dozen police and Ranger personnel during the “invasion of the (Police) Headquarters for 3 hours”.

It said the 3 “martyrdom-seeking Mujahideen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, with the help of Allah, broke all the security barriers and attacked the safest place of the police, the Karachi Police Headquarters, located in Sadar.”

This attack, it said, was “a message to all the anti-Islamic security agencies of Pakistan that the Mujahideen will continue their fight for the implementation of Sharia in the country.

“And the army and police will be targeted at every important place until the way for implementation of the Islamic system in the country is paved.”

The TTP asked policemen to “stay away from our war with the slave army, otherwise the attacks on the safe havens of the top police officers will continue.”
