New Delhi (NVI): Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have tested positive for coronavirus and have been hospitalised.

The Bollywood megastar asked all those who have been in close proximity to him to get tested for Covid-19.
Abhishek Bachchan took to twitter and said, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

Amitabh has been admitted under the Respiratory Isolation Unit at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai, according to media reports.
The father-son duo lives in Mumbai, which has been one of the worst hit cities by the deadly respiratory disease in India, recording 91,745 cases and 5,244 deaths so far, second only to Delhi.
