Jammu (NVI): A joint search operation was conducted in Balakote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir today and arms and ammunition including four grenades were recovered from the forests in Dhar Gloom area, police said.
The recovery was made after a joint search operation by J&K police and Army’s 49 RR, based on the discloure of an arrested terrorist identified as Sher Ali, they said. An FIR stands registered against Ali at Police Station Mendhar in the Poonch district.
The recovery includes four grenades, 15 pistol bullets and 10 AK-47 rifle bullets.
In another news, security forces launched search operation in some villages near LoC in Mendhar sector of J&K, earlier today.
