Jammu, Oct 6 (NVI) Army Commander of the Northern Command Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited the Kalakot and Rajouri sectors in Jammu and Kashmir to review operational preparedness and the security situation, the Army said on Tuesday.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on key operational aspects, including vigilance, training, synergy and innovative practices adopted by the troops to maintain a dominant posture and ensure robust security along the Line of Control (LoC) and in the hinterland, it said.
Interacting with the troops, the Army Commander commended them for their professionalism and devotion to duty, the Army said.
He emphasised the need for troops to remain resolute and prepared to effectively counter any misadventure by the adversary, it added.—(NVI)
