Quetta, Oct 16 (NVI) Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) Dr Naseem Baloch has met influential British Member of Parliament John McDonnell and apprised him on the prevailing distressing situation in Balochistan.

During the meeting at the UK Parliament, McDonnell assured Nassem Baloch of his full support on human rights and other critical issues, according to a statement issued by BNM spokesman Qazi Dad Mohammad Rehan.

The BNM chief is in UK as part of his comprehensive campaign to highlight the human rights situation in Balochistan and the national liberation movement, he said.

The BNM launched this campaign in mid-September and as part of this initiative, its chief participated in several conferences, including discussions at the 57th United Nations Human Rights Council, and met with representatives of various organizations.

The second phase of his campaign is marked by his visit to the UK where he attended an organizational event, the World Sindhi Congress conference.

John McDonnell is a prominent British politician known for advocating social justice, economic reforms to combat inequality, democratic socialism, world peace, and environmental sustainability, Rehan said.

He has consistently raised concerns in the British Parliament about the human rights situation in Balochistan.

McDonnell is considered a key ally within Baloch political circles for his efforts in highlighting human rights violations and supporting the Baloch right to self-determination.

At this meeting, the BNM Chairman was accompanied by BNM’s Junior Joint Secretary Hasan Dost Baloch, Coordinator of Foreign Affairs Fahim Baloch, and Deputy Coordinator Niaz Baloch.
