Balochistan: 2 Pakistani soldiers killed in BLF attacks

Quetta, May 13 (NVI) Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) today claimed to have killed more than 2 Pakistani soldiers in two separate attacks in the Kolwah and Jhao regions of Balochistan.

This morning, at around 7 AM (Pakistan time), BLF fighters carried out an operation in the Gazi Sodan area of Jhao, in Awaran district, its spokesman Major Gwahram Baloch said.

He said a group of security personnel assigned to guard a construction company were targeted using an anti-personnel landmine.

The mine had been planted in advance by BLF fighters at a known security position.

As the security personnel advanced toward their post, the device exploded, resulting in the instant death of 2 soldiers and serious injuries to two others, the spokesman said.

Earlier, yesterday at around 4 PM, BLF fighters launched a two-pronged assault on a Pakistani military outpost located at Shaho Batal in Kolwah, he said.

The attack inflicted casualties and material losses on the occupying forces, he said. (NVI)
