Balochistan: BLA claims killing of 15 Pakistani soldiers

Quetta, June 21 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight claimed to have killed 15 Pakistani soldiers and injured 6 in six coordinated attacks in Kalat district of Balochistan during the day.

These attacks included IED explosions and armed assaults, BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

Giving details, he said BLA freedom fighters first targeted occupying Pakistani army personnel near the dam in the Mangochar area of Kalat by detonating in a remote-controlled IED.

The soldiers were hit when they reached a temporary outpost to provide security to an army convoy, he said.

The freedom fighters had already planted explosives there and detonated those,  eliminating 2 enemy army personnel on the spot, the spokesman said.

Soon after, more army personnel reached the spot and the freedom fighters then detonated the second IED attack.

As a result of the explosion, 2 more enemy personnel were eliminated on the spot, while 4 others were seriously injured, he said.

Meanwhile, another batch of freedom fighters targeted enemy personnel using IED in Makai area near Morgund in Kalat district the spokesman said, adding 2 personnel were eliminated on the spot.

The BLA freedom fighters also eliminated 2 enemy personnel of the bomb disposal team in an IED attack while they were engaged in route clearance in the said area, he said.

Freedom fighters also targeted a vehicle of Pakistani army advancing in the area by carrying out a remote-controlled IED attack, Jeeyand Baloch said.

As a result, the vehicle was completely destroyed and all 4 personnel on board were eliminated, he said.

Freedom fighters also ambushed a convoy of motorcycles and other vehicles of the Pakistani army advancing in the same area, the spokesman said.

One vehicle of occupying army came under attack, as a result of which 3 enemy army personnel were eliminated on the spot and two were seriously injured, he said. (NVI)
