Balochistan: BLA claims killing of 3 Pakistani soldiers

Quetta, Oct 20 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have killed 3 Pakistani soldiers in multiple attacks in Balochistan.

In a statement, BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said the freedom fighters targeted occupying Pakistani army personnel and their collaborators in four separate operations in Mastung, Balgatar and Surab, seizing arms from forces personnel in Surab.

Two veteran freedom fighters were martyred in the exchange of fire, he said.

Giving details, he said Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters ambushed and targeted on-foot patrol party of occupying Pakistani army personnel in Dasht area of Mastung on October 17.

As a result of the attack, two enemy army personnel were eliminated on the spot, while one was wounded, he said.

BLA freedom fighters also targeted a company constructing a check post for occupying army at Gondain in the Marao area of Mastung in an armed attack and set fire to heavy machinery, the spokesman said.

Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters also targeted occupying army personnel at Kirki in Balgatar with a remote-controlled IED attack when they arrived to provide security to occupying army convoy, resulting in the elimination of one enemy personnel on the spot, Jeeyand Baloch said.

On October 16, Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters took control of a Levies Force outpost at Mill Shahurai in Surab and seized the personnel’s weapons.

The outpost was involved in extortion, prompting the freedom fighters to carry out the operation, Jeeyand Baloch said.

Meanwhile, another squad of freedom fighters blocked the Quetta-Karachi main highway for more than an hour and conducted snap checks, he said.

During the blockade, a police vehicle arrived at the site.

Freedom fighters asked personnel to surrender their weapons on the guarantee of no harm.

All personnel handed over their weapons to the fighters.

However, one personnel opened fire on the freedom fighters, due to which Sangat Maqbool Baloch alias Bali was martyred, and Sangat Kamran Baloch alias Sahrot was seriously injured and later succumbed to his injuries on the way, the BLA spokesman said.

The personnel was neutralized in the freedom fighters retaliation, he said.
