Quetta, Sep 19 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight claimed to have killed 32 Pakistani soldiers, including officers, and injured dozens of others in a suicide attack on a military convoy that completely destroyed 3 buses in Balochistan yesterday.
The operation was carried out by two Fidayeen (suicide attackers) of the Majeed Brigade, a unit of the BLA which specialises in suicide attacks.
According to BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch, a large and heavy convoy of the occupying Pakistan Army was targeted at the Kanchati Cross in the Dasht area of Kech district of Balochistan.
The convoy consisted of six buses, in which dozens of personnel of the occupying Pakistani army were on board, and a separate military squad was also accompanying them to protect them, he said.
The convoy had reached Gwadar from Karachi a day earlier and was leaving Gwadar for Turbat on the day of the attack, the spokesman said.
“The attack was carried out at 1:05 pm (Pakistan Time) under a systematic plan, thorough information preparation and complete military discipline when the enemy was unaware, and the BLA suicide bombers turned this opportunity into a decisive attack against the enemy with full skill, tact and determination,” he said.
“The first phase of the Majeed Brigade’s fidayeen operation began when Fidayeen Sangat Altaf alias Chakar rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the main bus of the enemy convoy, resulting in a huge explosion, completely destroying the bus and killing all the personnel on board on the spot,” he said.
Immediately after the explosion, Fidayeen Sangat Gahram alias Zagreen and Khalil alias Kalmir entered the enemy’s encirclement and targeted the remaining buses and the unconscious security squad, Jeeyand Baloch said.
“Despite the enemy’s return fire, the two fidayeen continued the attack and froze the enemy’s movement.
“The attack continued for more than 30 minutes, and when both fidayeens ran out of weapons after killing dozens of enemy personnel, they sacrificed their lives for their nation and land, following the philosophy of the last bullet under the BLA’s fidayeen poem,” the spokesman said.
“According to ground sources and the intelligence wing of the Baloch Liberation Army, “Zirab”, at least 32 personnel of the occupying Pakistani army were killed and dozens injured in the attack, including several officers,” he said.
More than three buses were completely destroyed in the attack, and the enemy faced several hours of delay and difficulties in removing the bodies from the scene and transferring the injured, he added.
After the attack, the enemy immediately sent air support, drone surveillance, and ground troops to the scene, but due to the complete destruction, organizational chaos, and deep psychological effects, it took the occupying army hours to carry out rescue operations, due to which most of the injured military personnel died on the spot, the spokesman said.
“For the BLA, this operation is not just a successful attack, but a practical expression of the belief that the enemy will not be allowed to find peace and tranquility in any corner of Balochistan,” he declared.
“The attack came at a time when the state of Pakistan and its ally China are busy trying to increase military, diplomatic and legal pressure on the Baloch national movement at the global level.
Recently, Pakistan and China jointly proposed to include the Baloch Liberation Army and its fidayeen unit Majeed Brigade on the list of terrorist organizations under the 1267 Committee of the United Nations Security Council.
