Quetta: As promised, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) continues to target Pakistan’s celebratory programmes in Balochistan linked to its Independence Day.

The freedom-seeking outfit today bombed the so-called Independence Day celebrations and flag stalls in Quetta at two places, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said tonight.

“Today, a so-called independence celebration ceremony was going to be held in an educational institution on Munir Mengal Road in Sariab area in Quetta, which was targeted by Baloch Liberation Army operatives with a bomb blast,” he said.

At the said location, the ceremony of the occupying Pakistani army and intelligence agencies was to be held.

To just send a warning, the venue was attacked when no one was present there, he said.

In another attack, Baloch Liberation Army fighters bombed a stall of Pakistani flags under the auspices of the occupying Pakistani army in Liaquat Bazar, China Market of Quetta, the spokesman said.

As a result, the stall was completely destroyed, he said.

“We have made it clear that the so-called Independence Day celebrations organized under the patronage of the occupying Pakistani army will be our target,” the BLA spokesman reminded.

“By spending crores of rupees, the occupying army wants to show Balochistan its part by force, which is contrary to the historical and ground realities,” he said.
