Shaal (Balochistan): Putting the Pakistan Army on notice, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today said it will deliver immediate “sentence” to two captured military officers if the outfit’s offer of prisoners’ swap was not responded to positively within one week.

The frontline group, fighting for liberation of Balochistan from Pakistan, captured JCO Kaleem Ullah and military intelligence officer Mohammad Faisal of Pakistan Army in a special operation in Harnia in Balochistan on September 25.

On October 5, the BLA said it was willing to release the military personnel in exchange for the Baloch prisoners in Pakistani custody to show its “professional” and “responsible” character.

The outfit, however, had warned that “if Pakistani forces showed any aggression in this regard, then BLA will deliver immediate sentence to both detainees awarded by the Baloch national court.”

In a statement emailed to NVI today, the BLA said the Pakistani military has “so far failed to agree (to) our demands regarding the prisoners’ swap.”

The “Senior Command Council” of BLA has now granted one more week to the Pakistani military for a prisoners’ swap, said the statement issued by the outfit’s spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch.

“After this deadline, immediate delivery of sentence will be carried out for both the prisoners,” he said, possibly hinting at their execution.

He recalled that BLA had made it clear in the media statement of 5th October 2022, that if Pakistani military showed any aggression, then BLA reserves the right to withdraw its offer of prisoners’ swap, and deliver immediate sentence to the detainees.

“During last three weeks of indirect negotiations with the occupying forces, the enemy forces continuously demonstrated delaying tactics,” Baloch said.

“During the indirect negotiations with the Pakistani military, it has increasingly been evident that the occupying forces do not have any interest in the release of their detained personnel,” the BLA spokesperson said.

“Meanwhile, they also tried multiple times to breach into our safe territories, as an attempt to push BLA into killing detainees Kaleemullah and Mohammad Faisal,” he said.

“The enemy forces are preparing for a major aggression against the Baloch freedom fighters,” he said, adding that Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor of the Pakistan Army has also visited the said areas in this regard.

“Considering all these factors, the Senior Command Council of Baloch Liberation Army has decided to give one more week’s time to the occupying forces.

“Until this deadline, if the Pakistani military fails to demonstrate a clear and positive development, then both detainees JCO Kaleemullah and Mohammad Faisal will be given their sentences on 4th November 2022, the BLA spokesperson said, possibly hinting at the execution of the captured military officers.
