Quetta (Pakistan-occupied Balochistan), Jan 7 (NVI): Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today claimed to have killed 5 personnel of the Pakistan Army and injured 2 in an attack in Kech district of occupied Balochistan.
In a statement, it said its freedom fighters today targeted the occupying Pakistani Army using an IED in Zamuran area of Kech.
“The fighters targeted a vehicle in the convoy of the occupying army with a remote-controlled IED in Poganzan area of Zamuran while they were delivering supplies to Sangwan post,” said the statement issued by its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.
“As a result of the explosion, 5 enemy army personnel were eliminated on the spot and 2 were seriously wounded while their vehicle was completely destroyed,” he added.
The Baloch rebels have stepped up attacks on the Pakistani military, inflicting heavy damage in terms of men and material to the enemy.
During the last year, BLA killed 582 Pakistani soldiers and their agents and wounded 378 other enemy personnel in 410 attacks in Balochistan, according to the outfit. (NVI)
