Quetta, July 17 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said it killed 29 personnel of the occupying Pakistan Army in 2 separate attacks, including an ambush on a bus ferrying soldiers, in Balochistan.
In one major attack, the BLA’s special forces unit – Fateh Squad – targeted a bus carrying the occupying Pakistani army at the Nimrug Cross in Kalat, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said.
The commandos of BLA carried out this operation on the basis of information provided by BLA’s intelligence wing, ZIRAB, he said in a statement.
ZIRAB was constantly monitoring the said bus, which was transporting the occupying Pakistani army personnel from Karachi to Quetta, the spokesman said.
“In the attack, 27 occupation army personnel were killed on the spot, while several personnel were injured, including seriously,” he said.
In Balochistan, Pakistani military personnel often travel in civil dress along with civilians in public transport in an attempt to evade attacks from the Baloch freedom fighters who keep looking for soldiers to hunt them down.
The BLA spokesman said some Qawwali artists were also present in the bus when it was attacked.
“The said artists were not our target, but they were travelling with the occupation army personnel,” he said.
“In this regard, we have already made it clear that a safe distance should be maintained from the occupation army to avoid any kind of harm,” he added.
Meanwhile, separately, BLA operatives targeted a vehicle of the occupation Pakistani army using a remote-controlled IED in the Hazar Ganji area of Quetta.
As a result, two occupation army personnel were killed on the spot and 7 personnel were injured he said.
“Baloch Liberation Army, while accepting responsibility for these attacks, makes it clear that these operations are a continuation of our armed struggle against the occupation Pakistani army, which is ongoing for the liberation of Balochistan.
“We once again appeal to the Baloch people to maintain a safe distance from the occupation army, its centers and installations so that no unrelated person is harmed.
“We reiterate our pledge that as long as the occupation of our land continues, we will continue our resistance and will continue to hold the enemy accountable for its crimes at every point,” BLA spokesman said. (NVI)
