Quetta, July 10 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight claimed responsibility for attacking and taking control of Pakistani army camp in Surab district of Balochistan and said 18 soldiers were killed while one freedom fighter was martyred in the operation that began last night.
Elsewhere, the BLA freedom fighters also targeted the occupation army, its supplies, and operatives through three more attacks in Panjgur, Buleda, and Mach.
“The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) commanders successfully attacked the main camp of the occupying Pakistani army in Gadar area of Surab and took complete control of two parts of the camp,” its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.
During this attack, an enemy quadcopter was shot down and military convoys coming to support the occupying army were also subjected to heavy attacks, he said.
‘In total, 18 enemy personnel were killed, while a BLA Fateh squad commander, Haroon Baloch alias Dosteen, was martyred during the clashes,” the spokesman said.
Giving details, he said last night at around 11 pm, the BLA freedom fighters attacked the main camp of the Pakistani army in the Gadar area from two sides.
After clashes that lasted for more than an hour, the freedom fighters managed to take control of two parts of the camp, he said.
While trying to capture the third part, freedom fighters Haroon Baloch alias Dosteen was martyred, the spokesman said.
At least 11 occupying forces personnel were killed in the clashes, while several deserters fled the battlefield, abandoning their comrades, he said.
The freedom fighters seized weapons and ammunition from the camp.
During this operation, a military quadcopter was overflying for surveillance and it was shot down by the freedom fighters.
Meanwhile, a military convoy of 5 vehicles was approaching to assist the forces at the camp but it was ambushed and targeted by the freedom fighters near Surab, resulting in the destruction of two vehicles and retreat by the surviving soldiers.
Subsequently, another military convoy of 12 vehicles attempted to advance towards the besieged camp but it was targeted by a remote-controlled IED, Jeeyand Baloch s aid.
In the attack, one enemy vehicle was completely destroyed while another was damaged, the spokesman said, adding 7 military personnel were killed and at least 11 injured in this assault.
Separately, a remote-controlled IED attack was carried out on an enemy convoy on the CPEC route in the Surap area of Panjgur district, killing one occupying army soldier and wounding three others, while their vehicle was severely damaged.
In Buleda, BLA cadres captured two vehicles carrying supplies to the enemy along with the supplies.
In Mach, Abdul Ghaffar, son of Haji Abdul Jabbar Rajput, an agent of the occupying forces, was targeted in a grenade attack, in which he was seriously injured.
The said person was an informer and facilitator of the occupying forces in the guise of a shopkeeper, the spokesman said.
Paying tributes to Shaheed Haroon Baloch alias Dosteen, the spokesman said he had joined the Baloch Liberation Army in 2022 and initially participated in guerrilla activities as a civilian.
Later, he was transferred to the mountain front and based on his military skills, he became a part of the first detachment of the BLA, the Fatah Squad.
Martyr Haroon Baloch led important organizational operations on the fronts of Shoor Parod, Noshki, and Kharan in Kalat, the spokesman said. (NVI)
