Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight claimed to have killed 9 Pakistani soldiers and injured 5 in a planned attack in Kalat district of Balochistan.
The freedom fighters of BLA ambushed a convoy of the occupying Pakistani army in Dasht Mehmood area of Kalat today by triggering an IED blast, the outfit’s spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement to NVI.
The BLA fighters targeted a pick-up vehicle of the Pakistani army convoy with a remote-controlled IED, he said.
The blast killed 5 enemy personnel travelling in the targeted vehicle on the spot, he said.
Subsequently, as the convoy came to a halt, the fighters attacked other vehicles using heavy automatic weapons, the spokesman said.
It resulted in the killing of 4 more enemy personnel and at least 5 injuries, he said.
