Quetta: Ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has stepped up its attacks on the occupying Pakistan Army in Balochistan, with 5 strikes being carried out since last night.
In a statement tonight, the freedom-seeking outfit said its 5 operations in Quetta, Khuzdar, Turbat and Qalat districts targeted the supplies of the occupying Pakistani army and exploitation project.
The fighters of BLA also visited educational institutions and canceled the so-called Pakistan Independence Day celebrations, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said.
The BLA cadres visited a school located on Bruri Road in Quetta, where preparations were underway for so-called Independence Day celebration due to pressure from the occupying Pakistani army, he said.
The fighters met the children and the teachers present in the school, and were told about the tactics of the occupying state to organize the so-called independence celebrations to befool the world about the situation in Balochistan, Jeeyand Baloch said.
On being persuaded by the BLA cadres, the teachers of the said school canceled the event, he said.
Separately, BLA operatives targeted the preparations for the so-called Independence Day celebration under the auspices of the occupying Pakistani army at the Girls College in Quetta’s Saryab Mill area at around 9:15 pm today with a grenade attack.
In Khuzdar, BLA fighters attacked two foot soldiers of the occupying Pakistani army in Bazgir area last night when they were patrolling near their camp, the spokesman said.
In another operation last night, BLA fighters targeted the check post of the occupying Pakistani army on Airport Road in Turbat city by firing grenade launchers, in which the enemy army suffered casualties, he said.
The BLA men today targeted a trawler carrying goods for an exploitation project of Sendak at Badrang in Mangchar area of Kalat district.
They destroyed all the tyres of the vehicle, he said, adding the driver was injured during the operation.
