Balochistan: Freedom fighters intensify attacks against Pakistani military ahead of its I-Day

Quetta, August 14 (NVI) As Pakistan geared up to celebrate its Independence Day today, Baloch freedom fighters stepped up their operations against the Pakistani military in run up to the D-day, carrying out over 50 attacks across the occupied-Balochistan.

Scores of Pakistani military and police personnel are believed to have been killed or injured in the attacks, during which military and other government assets have been destroyed or damaged.

Before the dawn of the D-day, Baloch freedom fighters tonight launched attacks at military installations at several places.

One such attack was launched at a Pakistani military camp in Kohad Kocha in Mastung district.

Another attack was launched at a military post in Pirandar Zarnakoli area of Awaran district.

In Mand city, an attack was launched on the main camp of Pakistani paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC).

An FC post also came under attack in Nasir Khan Chowk in Panjgur district.

One attack was also carried out at a Pakistani military checkpoint in Mir Hassan area of Naseerabad district.

In Khuzdar city, the Baloch freedom fighters carried out a landmine attack on a contingent of Pakistani military.

Pakistani authorities have already snapped internet and other basic services in parts of Balochistan since earlier this month till the end of the  month, citing “security concerns”.

Earlier, over the last 3 days, Baloch freedom fighters targeted the Pakistani military and government assets at over 40 attacks in Balochistan and in some cases seized control of the posts and check points.

These attacks were carried out in Gwadar, Zamuran Dalegik, Jhao Nowndrah, Jhaoeerh, Mand Meher, Soro, Mastung, Nasirabad, Zehri,  Khuzdar (Zehri), Awaran Nazoi, Tump Gomazi, Turbat Hotabad, Zamran Sah Deem, Jhal Magsi Gandawah, Tigran, Sibi, Washuk Basima, Washuk, Kalat, Kech Hoshab Bal Dam, Quetta Western Bypass, Quetta, Mach, Dera Bugti Khatan Pul, Sohbatpur and Gargina (near Mastung).
