New Delhi: India saw a significant rise in single day Covid numbers, with 2,067 fresh cases being registered in the last 24 hours against 1,247 cases recorded during the previous day.
The country also registered 40 fatalities in the last 24 hours against one fatality recorded a day earlier.
With this, the cumulative death toll has gone up to 5,22,006 and the country’s active cases stand at 12,340.
Nearly 1,547 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,25,13,248, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.49% and weekly positivity rate at 0.38%.
Yesterday, the country registered 1,247 fresh Covid cases and one fatality in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 2,183 and 214 deaths in 24 hours.
The country registered 1,150 fresh Covid cases and four fatalities during the previous 24 hours.
A day earlier, the country registered 975 fresh Covid cases and four fatalities in 24 hours.
On Friday morning, the country registered 949 fresh Covid cases and six fatalities in 24 hours.
