New Delhi (NVI): Bimal Julka, former secretary of Information and Broadcasting was today sworn in as Chief Information Commissioner.
President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office to Julka as CIC in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan here.
Julka was earlier serving as Information Commissioner. The post of CIC was vacant after transparency watchdog Sudhir Bhargava retired on January 11.
