New Delhi (NVI): One Pakistani soldier was killed while three others were injured in an IED blast in Bolan area of Balochistan as Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility of the attack on the occupying forces who were conducting a military operation on civilians in the area.
According to Jeeyand Baloch, Baloch Liberation Army spokesman, the incident took place yesterday when the BLA ‘sarmachars’ targeted the occupying Pakistani army personnel in the central area of Jalari and Sangan in Bolan.
“The IED attack was carried out while the forces were conducting a military operation on civilians in the area. One Pakistani soldier was killed and three others were injured in a result of the attack,” the BLA spokesman said in a statement.
Two IED attacks were reported on the Pakistani occupational forces in Bolan district, as per reports. The first IED attack took place on a vehicle of Pakistani forces in Jalri while the second IED attack on foot patrols in Sangan area of Bolan.
Earlier, Balochistan Republican Army (BRA), another rebel group fighting Pakistani occupancy in the region, announced that it has foiled an occupational forces attack on a base camp of the organization with infantry and air force in Kolwah area of Kech district of Balochistan. They said that the attack was foiled on Wednesday morning.
Official representative of the BRA, Beebagr Baloch said that the Baloch fighters eliminated two advancing occupying forces personnel in Kolwah area in Kech, while their helicopters were hit with “sophisticated weapons”.
Earlier this week, Baloch Liberation Army had released a video, saying that its fighters captured a Pakistani military base in Shahrag area in Bolan on December 26 last year and that several personnel of Pakistan Army were neutralised.

This is the same Balochistan Liberation Army, that had said that that it is fully capable of starting a similar war in Pakistan’s Punjab province that Islamabad is trying to impose on Balochistan and other countries.
In a statement released to media in December, Jeeyand Baloch, the BLA spokesperson, had said that “Baloch Liberation Army considers the defence and liberation of Baloch nation its utmost responsibility”, The Balochistan Post had reported.
The BLA spokesman had said that the Baloch fighters and rebel organisations who are fighting a war for their freedom from Pakistan, “cannot allow the enemy forces to run rampage against innocent civilians, women and children.”
Pertinent to mention here that Baloch armed groups like BLA have carried out several attacks over the last two years on Pakistani security forces, destroying their outposts/camps in various areas of Balochistan.
BLA is considered the fiercest armed group in Balochistan, fighting for liberation of the Baloch nation from Pakistan which has engaged in forced disappearance and mass killings of innocent Baloch people over the years.
