Quetta: Sending out a message to those supporting Pakistani agencies in occupied-Balochistan, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has executed two persons after declaring them “informers” of the government  forces.

The two were tried in ‘Baloch National Court’ after being ‘arrested’ and were sentenced to death after proper examination and verification, the BLA said.

One more person, also held on suspicion of being an informer, was let off after being found not involved, it said.

Zahoor Lotani, a key agent of occupying Pakistani military in Zehri Kohn area of Khuzdar, was involved in several crimes against the Baloch nation under direct supervision of the Pakistani military, BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

“He acted as an informant for occupying forces in Khuzdar and Gwadar, for aiding enemy forces in raiding civilian homes and forcibly disappearing Baloch youth,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

“In 2019, he (Lotani) gave information to the occupying forces and aided in enforced disappearance of a freedom fighter of an allied organisation from Zehri Bazar,” he said.

The BLA spokesman said Zahoor Lotani was warned three times to stop his criminal activities but he continued.

“Anyone who commits national treason will not be spared,” Jeeyand Baloch declared.

In Kalat too, an “enemy agent” was eliminated after he confessed to his crimes, the spokesman said.

BLA fighters had arrested Mohammad Hassan and his son Ali Akbar in a raid few days ago, he said.

During interrogation, Mohammad Hassan admitted that he was working as an informer for the Pakistani military and that he was involved in identifying the routes of Baloch fighters and informing Pakistani forces about it,” the BLA spokesman said.

“Mohammad Hassan confessed that he was directly involved in a military offensive on 7th April 2014, in which Pakistani gunship helicopters killed two children and three women, and injured six other women.

“He admitted that he was responsible for identifying the area of local populace to the enemy, and later was also involved in identification of the dead bodies,” the spokesman said.

“For committing national treason, Mohammad Hassan was sentenced to death by a Baloch national court. The sentence was carried out by Baloch freedom fighters,” he said.

Hassan’s son Ali Akbar was released by the Baloch national court as he was proved innocent, the spokesman said.
