Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which is fighting for Balochistan’s freedom from Pakistan, tonight said it killed 9 personnel of the occupying military and injured 7 in attacks in Zarghoon and Margat since last night.

BLA fighters targeted an outpost of Pakistani military in Zarghoon near Quetta last night, its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement to NVI.

“In the multi-pronged attack, 5 enemy personnel were killed on the spot while 3 fled in injured condition,” he said.

Subsequently, in the morning, the occupying Pakistani forces launched military aggression in Zarghoon, Margat and adjoining areas, the BLA spokesman said.

The enemy forces were aided by gunship helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, he said.

Undeterred, the BLA fighters ambushed the Pakistani troops near Margat, killing at least 4 of them and injuring 4 others, Baloch said.

He said the military outpost targeted in Zarghoon, Bolan, was one of the many such pickets set up in the area to provide security to coal contractors and miners who are engaged in looting the resources of Balochistan in collaboration with the Pakistani establishment.

Baloch said, “The elements working on payroll of Pakistani occupying military should realise that if this (Pakistani) military cannot defend themselves, how will they protect them.”

He said the BLA has warned multiple times and would make it clear once again that anyone found working as an informant for the Pakistani military or engaged in providing supplies to the occupying forces would have to bear the consequences for it.

“Baloch Liberation Army has a very clear and comprehensive political road map to achieve national salvation. Every decision is taken with full political consideration.

“BLA strongly believes that strong power can only stem from public support, and considers it a national crime to harm any member of public.

“However, anyone who is in cahoots with the occupying forces will never be spared, irrespective of his race or religion,” the spokesman underlined.
