Quetta: A Superintendent of Police (SP) notorious for committing atrocities against Baloch people was targeted here by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) today with an IED blast which killed 2 policemen and injured several others.

BLA fighters targeted the vehicle of SP Investigation (Saddar), Naseer-ul-Hassan Shah, in Kandahari Bazar of Quetta, the outfit’s spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said.

Two policemen were killed, several were injured and the vehicle was badly damaged in the attack, he said in a statement.

“The SP targeted today was involved in inhumane treatment of Baloch civilians under the pretext of investigations,” the spokesman said.

“Police, the auxiliary force of occupying Pakistani state, has been warned multiple times to refrain from their anti-Baloch activities.

“However, police and employees of other similar organisations are active against the Baloch national struggle on behest of enemy forces and its secretive agencies,” Jeeyand Baloch said.

“BLA vows that it will avenge all brutalities committed against the Baloch public,” he declared.

Separately,  the BLA said, it eliminated 2 agents of Pakistani military and its secret agencies in two attacks in Turbat and Panjgur.

In Turbat, BLA fighters eliminated Mohammad Aftab, who was being monitored by BLA fighters for long time and it was evidently established that he was working and collaborating with occupying Pakistani military in disguise, Jeeyand Baloch said.

“Occupying Pakistani forces have deployed numerous non-locals in Turbat and adjoining areas to work under disguise for the occupying forces.

“BLA has multiple times warned such elements to refrain from their activities or else they will bear the consequences,” the spokesman said.

In another operation, BLA fighters eliminated a state agent, Nazeer Ahmed, in Guargo, Panjgur, Baloch said.

“Nazeer was on BLA’s wanted list for some time. He was directly involved in abetting occupying forces in their offensives, and blackmailing locals through different tactics.

“In return, he was granted impunity by the occupying forces to take extortions from vehicles on the so-called CPEC route,” the BLA spokesman said.

“Due to his treasonous actions, he was awarded death sentence,” Baloch added.
