Quetta: Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) carried out 176 attacks on Pakistani military in the year 2021, killing over 226 personnel and injuring scores others, the outfit says while declaring that armed struggle is key to achieve independence for Balochistan.
During the year, the freedom fighters of the group also carried out 4 attacks against the Chinese telecom company Zong besides other Chinese nationals working in Balochistan.
These details have been furnished by the BLF in its annual report on its armed operations for the freedom of Balochistan from Pakistan.
BLF spokesman Major Gwahram Baloch, in a statement, said, “Armed struggle is one of the essential parts of our national struggle to get rid of slavery and restore our national independence.”
Describing Pakistan as “a terrorist State”, he said, “It is quite natural that against oppression, repression and state terrorism, the importance of armed struggle increases further.”
The outfit, which recently killed 17 Pakistani military personnel in a single attack in Kech in Balochistan, said it is struggling for “national liberty”.
“Baloch Sarmachars (freedom fighters) of BLF are fighting bravely for their motherland with latest guerrilla tactics and techniques,” Gwahram Baloch said.
He maintained that the movement for Independence of Balochistan from the forcible occupation of Pakistan and the armed operations of BLF against Pakistan are within the parameters of international laws.
On the other hand, Pakistani forces, every day, violate even the basic norms of humanity and human rights by resorting to extreme brutality.
“The enemy state (Pakistan) is an unnatural and terrorist state. In the same way, the colonization of Balochistan is unnatural and an act
of terrorism,” the BLF said.
“This occupying (Pakistan) Army lacks respect for international laws and norms with a nature of a wild beast by carrying out atrocities against innocent people,” the BLF said.
“They (Pakistani forces) whisk them (innocent people) away, torture them to death and later throw their mutilated dead bodies for display,” it said.
The Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies are not only violating international laws but also trampling upon human dignity with their boots, it said.
“All these actions show that we face a coward enemy that is void of human dignity,” the outfit added.
“Our struggle against Pakistan is within the parameters of international laws… our freedom fighters are struggling within the prescribed limits of international laws and Baloch traditions,” the BLF said.
The group said it respects and follow international laws and war ethics, and only targets the security forces and their facilitators.
“We always try not to hurt any unarmed civilian,” the BLF underlined.
“Despite strictly following international laws, our fighters have been able to successfully deliver sever blows to the enemy forces and broken their spirit to fight,” it said.
Giving details of the operations carried out by it in 2021, the BLF said 15 members of the government-backed ‘Death Squad’ were shot dead and several others were injured.
The military construction company Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was attacked seven times.
“Four (4) attacks were carried out against the Chinese telecommunication company (Zong) and its security. Two attacks were carried out on the towers of Pakistani mobile telecommunication company Ufone,” it said.
A vehicle of Chinese engineers in Karachi was also hit, it said.
He said that 12 enemy vehicles and 16 motorcycles were destroyed in the BLF attacks.
During the attacks, ‘Sarmachaars’ seized weapons and other equipment from the occupying forces.
Two attacks were carried out on vehicles and machinery of cement factories.
Eleven BLF Sarmachaars were martyred in defence of the motherland, it said.
“Our struggle will continue till the Independence of occupied Balochistan,” the outfit declared.
