Quetta: Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has vowed to intensify attacks on Pakistani forces and projects of Pakistan and its supporters in Balochistan to force them out of the occupied territory.
The outfit, fighting for liberation of Balochistan from Pakistan, issued the warning while making public details of its operations during the last year, which included 162 attacks on the Pakistan Army, leaving 213 military personnel dead and over 100 injured.
In its annual report 2022, the BLF said 10 of its freedom fighters sacrificed their lives in the service of defending their motherland during the year.
“Their martyrdom is the guarantor of the prosperous future of the Baloch nation,” said BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch while releasing the report.
It said that in 2022, “Baloch Sarmachaars repulsed the enemy on every front of the war, on guerilla and urban fronts. Their best war tactics have made the enemy desperate.”
Sharing details of the operations carried out during 2022, the BLF said its “attacks on occupying Pakistani forces will continue with intensity until the freedom of occupied Balochistan.”
The BLF “will intensify its attacks on enemy’s projects this year to force them to leave our motherland,” it added.
“Sarmacharas have not only stunned the enemy forces after successive defeats, so their morale is also turning down rapidly. Clear evidence of this, is the increasing trend of suicide and fugitives among military personnel,” it said.
The pro-freedom outfit also warned those Baloch who support and inform the Pakistani army and other activities against the freedom movement, saying they should desist from their anti-national activities.
“Instead of strengthening the shackles of slavery and supporting the enemy, Baloch should play their role for national freedom, so that their future generations will not be ashamed because of them,” the BLF said.
“In this war of independence, it has become necessary for the Baloch nation to fight unitedly so that a new bright dawn can begin due to the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of the nation and Sarmachaars,” it said.
While warning of attacks, the BLF said, “We appeal to the public to stay away from military installations, checkpoints and convoys as Sarmachaars can target the enemy at any time and place. The BLF also warns police officials to desist from state-aided activities.”
Regarding details of the attacks carried out by it during the last year, the BLF said 39 checkpoints and 8 checks posts and fronts of the occupying forces were targeted.
The BLF freedom fighters carried out 20 sniper attacks and 26 grenade attacks and targeted 13 convoys of the army, 10 army camps, 22 military vehicles and trucks.
The BLF also carried out 11 landmine attacks and four remote control attacks and destroyed 11 mobile towers and their machinery.
At least 27 agents and informers were killed and 3 were injured.
