Srinagar, Oct 21(NVI): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) chief Farooq Abdullah has strongly condemned the recent terror attack in Gagangeer, Ganderbal, that claimed the lives of seven people, including a doctor and several laborers.

Speaking to the press, Abdullah described the incident is deeply painful, stating that the victims had come to Kashmir to earn their livelihood but fell prey to terrorism.

“It’s a painful incident. Those laborers came here to earn their livelihood, and they, along with a doctor, became victims of terrorism,” Abdullah said. He emphasized that such acts of violence would not achieve anything for the perpetrators. “They won’t get anything by doing these things here,” he added.

Abdullah also made a direct appeal to Pakistan, calling on the country to end the bloodshed in Kashmir. “I want to appeal to Pakistan to stop this bloodshed here. Kashmir will never become Pakistan. Stop this terrorism and leave us to choose our own path. We want to secure our future and live peacefully here,” he said.

He further pointed out that the region has been witnessing violence since 1947, but the continued bloodshed has not benefited anyone. “It’s time for Pakistan to stop this violence. We have seen it since 1947, but they won’t gain anything from it,” Abdullah said, adding, “We will not engage with them as long as they continue to murder our people. How can we talk to them under these circumstances?”         (News Vibes of India)
