CIK Conducts Searches at Multiple Locations Across Kashmir in UAPA Case

Counter Intelligence conducts raids in south, central Kashmir

Srinagar, June 27 (NVI): The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out searches at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with an investigation into a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), officials said.

Searches were conducted in Srinagar, Ganderbal and Anantnag districts as part of the ongoing probe, they said.

In Anantnag district, a search was conducted at a residence in the Nowgam area of Verinag, during which a Redmi Note 9 Pro mobile phone was seized, officials said.

The action was taken in connection with FIR No. 07/2023 registered at Police Station JIC CIK Srinagar under relevant provisions of the UAPA and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), they added.

Officials said the search in Anantnag concluded peacefully, while operations at other locations were underway when the report was filed.
