Srinagar, Mar 5 (KNC): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review the Comprehensive Action Plan for Skill Development, aimed at strengthening the skilling ecosystem and enhancing employment opportunities for youth across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various strategies to effectively integrate skill development initiatives with the education system, ensuring that students acquire practical and industry-relevant skills.
The meeting also focused on strengthening linkages between training institutions and industries, expanding technical and short-term training programmes, and creating sustainable pathways for employment and entrepreneurship across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of equipping the youth with modern skills to meet the evolving demands of the job market and to promote self-reliance and economic growth in the region.(NVI)
