New Delhi (NVI): More than 117.9 million people around the world have been confirmed to have the coronavirus, while the death toll has crossed 2,618,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University tally. Over 66.8 million patients have recovered from the deadly disease globally.
The number of coronavirus infections in the US has surpassed 29.1 million, while the number of fatalities caused due to the deadly contagion has surpassed 5,29,000 in the country.
Brazil’s coronavirus cases have crossed the 11.2 million-mark and stand at 11,202,415 while the number of deaths has surged past 2,70,000.
Furthermore, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany increased by 14,356 to 2,532,947. The reported death toll rose by 321 to 72,810, the tally showed.
France reported 30,303 new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours on Wednesday, rising above 30,000 for the first time in two weeks.
The daily number of new coronavirus cases in Turkey rose on Wednesday to the highest level this year, standing at 14,556, health ministry data showed.
