Covid 19: ICSE exam cancelled

    The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelled the class 10 board examinations (ICSE) due to the ‘worsening situation’ of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Class 12 ISC board exams remain deferred and the dates for which will be released later, according to the council’s circular.

    “Given the present worsening situation of the COVID 19 pandemic in the country, the CISCE has decided to CANCEL the ICSE (Class X) 2021 examination. The options given in the earlier circular dated April 16, 2021, now stands withdrawn. The safety and wellbeing of our students and teaching faculty is our topmost priority and of paramount interest”, CISCE circular said.

    Earlier, CISCE had postponed the Class 10 board exams and Class 12 board exams. The final decision on new dates of examination will be taken by the first week of June 2021, the council said.
